Data Analysis

Data analysis is used for finding, cleaning, and assessing data sets and can be used for any organization in any industry. The intention behind data analysis is to take large and complex data and turn it into usable information for the benefit of a team or organization.

Cybersecurity, and especially Identity Access Management, has strong ties with data analysis. As such, I have completed data analysis work throughout the healthcare industry. This work has included analyzing vulnerability data for server networks, analyzing account and access data for over 100,000 records, and analyzing RBAC role data system wide for issues and areas to improve.

Professional Projects

In my cybersecurity roles I have completed multiple data analysis projects which included finding vulnerabilities and risk, analyzing RBAC and role structure, assessing the Active Directory structure of an organization, and auditing accounts in various applications. Below are examples of this work. Please note, as professional projects the data I have included in my examples are either obfuscated or recreated entirely to avoid any identifiable information being shared.

Organization Wide Termination Process Audit

After creating a standardized termination process for all employees being offboarded at a healthcare organization, it was requested that I attempt to find all employees that were offboarded but did not go through any IS termination process.

Educational Projects

In my quest to constantly learn and grow my skillset, I have completed several educational data analysis projects. Below are some examples of educational projects I have completed. Where appropriate, I will link out to the original source or instructions for the project.

WHO Covid Data Analysis

Using real open source data from the World Health Organization, I have completed an analysis of Covid-19 rates, responses, and outcomes across the world.
